I was excited about moving down to Florida to retire with my husband.  We both have always wanted to live near the beach. We moved into a fantastic home in Cocoa Beach, Florida, within walking distance from the Atlantic Ocean.

Cocoa Beach has a great balance between the soothing beach and the city. We wanted to make sure we moved somewhere that was relaxing and stress free with the ability go with plenty to do, and Cocoa Beach definitely fits the bill. With a great strip of shops and restaurants serving as its commercial center, there is always something to do in Cocoa Beach. There is good public transportation in Cocoa Beach, and terrific services for retirees. Down the road is the the largest city in the area, Melbourne, which has even more shopping and services.

The best part of Cocoa Beach is that while there is plenty to do, it's still quiet. My husband and I wanted a nice, relaxing retirement. The weather is ideal, the beaches are really beautiful, and we can enjoy our retirement in peace and serenity. Other areas in Florida can get very busy, with large crowds at the beaches and significant numbers of tourists. Not so in Cocoa Beach, which is calm, quiet, and peaceful. There is no more relaxing place to retire than Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The beach itself is truly spectacular. Without the massive crowds one might find in Orlando or in the Miami and Palm Beach region, the beach is spectacular in the Cocoa Beach area. My husband likes to take long strolls down the beach collecting seashells, and sea turtles come up onto the beach in the summertime to lay eggs, making for a lot of excitement. We live just blocks from the beach and are able to take full advantage of it, and the perfect weather makes it easy.

There's nowhere else I'd rather retire than the fabulous Cocoa Beach. With shops and restaurants, a wonderful retirement community where I've made many new friends, and beautiful weather and beaches, Cocoa Beach is a truly fantastic place. I am able to fully relax and enjoy my retirement here, and that's everything I could ever ask for.
